When: Wednesday, March 8th from 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Where: Ansgar Leather Co. - 4904 Tholozan Ave., St. Louis, MO 63109
Class Size: 3 participants (must be 18 years or older)
In this hands-on in-person workshop, you will learn the traditional art of leatherworking by creating your very own leather belt. Using high-quality, full grain leather and solid brass hardware, you will gain skills to create a finished product that is both durable and beautiful. In this class, each participant will:
- Pick your own hardware and leather color
- Cut out leather belt strap
- Learn how to bevel and burnish edges
- Punch holes and attach the hardware
- Stamp initials into the leather (if desired)
- Size and fit your belt
By the end of the workshop, you will have a belt that you can wear with pride, knowing you made it yourself!
We’ll provide Pipers coffee during the class. Only 3 spots are available, so sign up before they’re gone!
Belts will be 1.25" width. When signing up for the class, please write in the order notes the leather color and hardware you wish to use for your belt. The last picture displays available color options (left to right: navy with polished nickel, black with matte black, olive with brushed nickel, brown with brass). Please choose any combination you would like.
We will have your selections ready to go in class.
